SCHOOL HISTORY
It was always in the heart of the educational and charitable society of Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary’s Convent at Udaipur to have one more school which aims at the synthesis of spiritual values and scientific achievements of the East and the West; respectively whose educational programmes should have the concept of new standards and complete development; where students should aim at higher and higher achievement and be successful wherever they go with their hard work, determination, sincerity and genuine love for the nation. St. Mary’s Convent School at Teetardi opened on 6th July 2000 with 220 students.
From a modest beginning we have come a long way and are today recognized as one of the few private endeavors in education towards promoting excellence in the youth of India. It was upgraded to the secondary level in 2006. It was further upgraded to senior secondary level in the year 2009.
Today it is a full fledged school set amidst one of the most beautiful and well equipped campuses of the city of Udaipur with approximately 2500 students on the roll. It offers both commerce and science streams at the plus two level. By God’s grace and blessing our school is on the right track and progressing ahead day by day. We pray to God Almighty that He may give us sufficient strength and will power to complete our tasks and fulfill our promises.
Character of School
This educational institution is run by the Franciscan sisters of St. Mary of the Angels (FSMA), a religious charitable order of Nuns. It has always catered to the needs of children from all communities and classes of society though it is primarily meant for the children of the Catholic Community.
Our Motto
“EXCELSIOR” It is a Latin word which means “Higher”. The motto, therefore, is an invitation to keep striving for the best, for excellence in studies and all other training imparted or received.
Aim and Objective
The aim of the institution is to give to the pupils an all round education- moral, academic, social and physical – based on high ideals and principles. The pupils are prepared to play their part in life and to appreciate true refinement of culture, especially the culture of our own country. But above all, stress is laid on good conduct, character formation, commitment to justice.
