Students

Do

  • Come to school well groomed, in proper uniform with well polished shoes.
  • Be regular in attendance and never be late to school
  • Attend morning assembly without fail
  • Bring the students dairy to school daily
  • Keep your classroom and school premises neat and tidy
  • Turn off the tap after use
  • Switch off fan and light when not in use
  • Be fair and honest at work, always be considerate of the right of others
  • Be courteous and respectful to parents, teachers and domestic staff.

Don’t

  • Do not bunk classes
  • Do not us abusive language
  • Do not damage school property
  • Do not bring gadgets in school they are strictly prohibited
  • Do not bring articles of value to school. The school will not be held responsible for loss of such articles
  • Do not make loud noise or create confusion in the class, auditorium or elsewhere in the school building
  • Do not sit on the table
  • Do not eat in the class, stage or corridors
  • Come to class with proper materials: paper, pen, books etc.

Chemistry Lab

Do

  • Know emergency procedures
  • Always perform the experiments or work precisely as directed by the teacher
  • Immediately report any spills, accidents, or injuries to a teacher
  • Be careful when handling hot glassware and apparatus in the lab
  • Turn off all heating apparatus, gas valves and water faucets when not in use
  • Coats, bags and other personal items must be stored in designed area, not on the bench tops or in aisle ways
  • Notify your teacher of any sensitivities you may have to particular chemicals if known
  • Keep the floor clear of all objects
  • Sodium pieces should be handled properly
  • Keep the chemistry reagents at proper place after use

Don’t

  • Do not engage in practical jokes or boisterous conduct in the laboratory
  • Do not work in the lab without the supervision of the teacher
  • Do not sit on the lab benches
  • Do not leave experiments while in progress
  • Do not point and open end of a test tube containing a substance at yourself or others
  • Do not fill a pipette using mouth suction. Always use pi petting device
  • Do not leave lit Bunsen burners unattended
  • Do not remove any equipment or chemicals from lab
  • Do not experiment with unknown chemicals
  • Do not leave value of kips apparatus open.
